Performance Based:
- When the performer confidently showcases their talent in their video
- A typical setting would be inside a studio, costumes would be extavagent or unsuitable for everyday use
- The performer would have strong interaction with the camera.
- Body movement and style of the music video will be mainly literal,
- No metaphorical message would be established
Conceptual Based
- Astetically would have an abstract and artistic/ alternative approach to to what is shown to the audience.
- Main componants to making conceptual music video: special effects, CGI or props.
- Strong metaphorical message - or no message at all.
Narrative Based:
- When the video portrays a story that that strongly relate to the lyrics.
- Setting, costume, body language and acting would portrayed as realistic.
- No or limited interaction with the camera, to create a gaze for the audience.
